Arts Theatre location

The Arts Theatre is situated in the main hub of London’s Theatreland, opposite Leicester Square and a stone’s throw away from the famous Covent Garden Market. There are several other theatres in the vicinity, as well as a whole host of cafés and restaurants all within walking distance. Pre-theatre menus are excellent in the surrounding area with Chinatown just around the corner.

By tube

  • The nearest tube stations are Leicester Square (Northern Line and Piccadilly) and Covent Garden (Piccadilly Line), both under a five-minute walk away
  • 1 minute from Leicester Square : Exit the station and head up Charing Cross Road. Turn right down Great Newport Street. The theatre will be on your left-hand side

  • 4 minutes from Covent Garden : Exit the station and turn left to meet Long Acre. Turn left down Long Acre and keep walking. Cross over the road and continue straight at the junction to meet Great Newport Street. The theatre will be on your right-hand side

By bus

  • Buses that stop along Charing Cross Road (less than 5 minutes from the theatre): 14, 19, 24, 38, 176

By car

The Arts Theatre is located within the London Congestion Charge Zone which applies weekdays from 7am until 6pm (not bank holidays) and costs £10 per day. If you drive in the Charge Zone without paying before or 1 day after your journey, you will be fined. If you are driving to the theatre after 6pm, then you will not be charged.

The nearest car park is the Q Park in Chinatown (20 Newport Place, WC2H 7PR) parking costs £24 for up to 4 hours.

The nearest participating car park is the 24hr Q Park Chinatown Car Park (20 Newport Place, WC2H 7PR). Parking costs £18 for up to 3hrs and £24 for 4hrs, but you'll cut that in half when you get your ticket validated.
