25 years since it first premiered off-Broadway and Ruthless! The Musical is transferring to the West End, from 16 March 2018. Joel Paley and Marvin Laird’s production will star Jason Gardiner, Lara Denning, Kim Maresca and Olivier Award winner Tracie Bennett among others.
Ruthless! centres around the tale of an 8-year old girl, who is desperate to play the lead in her school play. So, determined is she that she is prepared to push past anyone that dares get in her way. The production is a famous spoof of such musicals as Gypsy and Mame.
The original production starred Laura Bell Bundy, Natalie Portman and Britney Spears, who each played the lead role of Tina. Bundy also originated the roles of Amber in Hairspray and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.
